Propshaft Bother

Hi. Have decided to stop muffing around with my knackered front prop and am going to replace it. The part number is FRC8390 from my defender county 2.5td - G reg. Trying to source one second hand , can anyone tell me what other landrover models have this same prop or put me in the direction of a reliable dealer. Thanks. Chris.

only 4 cylinder defenders pre 300tdi, 300tdi on use same front prop as disco and rrc which is 2"ish shorter than yours

I think the 300tdi props are actually longer as I've got what was originally a 2.5td and I received a 300tdi front prop by mistake. Was too long by a good few mm

300 rear props are longer as front is shorter,transmission is further forward on a 300 hence the bulge near hand brake

T'will have been a rear I was given then

Thanks . Have seen one advertised for a def 90 Td5 tdi. Would that fit? Just need to be sure.

not on a pre 300tdi defender without spacer

New props are only £55! Just buy a new one!

Where from Harry ?

They are but usual are not wide an angle as std LR item but fine for tad suspension lifted they cause issues earlier on where old genuine lr propshafts you get Way with a lot before binding
