I was most impressed by my mrs help over the weekend, not only was she supportive and didnt mind me going out to work on the landy... she actually helped me lift on the tub.

Someone has obviously replaced her with a double. However im not going to complain. I prefer this version 2.0!

well i managed to get a full csw conversion this week for 270 notes!!!!!

not in the most amazing condition, but good enough to repair.

I got, tub, glazed sides, roof with alpines, all 5 doors, door cards, b pillars, rear floor and stepped bit, and the little triangular bits for the sides!!!!!

this 18 year old lass has used some initiative and started breaking defenders and series. She was a proper landy enthusiast and very helpful. :)

So wombie is going to a proper csw instead! i had been putting it off because trying to find all the bits was a right pain in the ass. But being able to get it all... well it was a no brainer.

I will say that picking up the bits in a volvo v70 was entertaining ... and mildly poo staining on the way home with the 110 roof strapped to the volvos roof bars!

I have had my 90 roof strapped to an estate car for 70 miles on the motor way that was a little worrying

well wombie finally got up to scotland on monday morning. Albiet via car trailer...

Set off at 9 am on sunday morning and got into my driveway at... 4.30 am on monday morning. AARRRRGGHHHH how tiring was that! And £300 lighter in the wallet for it too!!!

The L200 positively DRANK diesel towing that thing up here. And I was amazed i didnt get pulled by the fuzz. I drove past loads of them at about 3 am around inverness and none of them took any interest. I would have thought a fender at that time of the morning sat on a trailer would have made them take note but...

Oh well, i can finally get on with some jobs on it now!

i was thinking i was in the poop when i had a blow out on one of the tyres on the trailer. Bout poo'd my pants.

And the bloody studs holding the wheels on the trailer were a size of nut i didnt have the tools with me to remove... thank you to the person who pulled over with his socket set!!!!!

so last night I....

Outlander roof console now installed (with alot of swearing)

Found out the front door catches id bought wont fit as they are about 15mm out of line?

moved the numberplate onto the roof rack as it was partially blocking the airflow to the rad and intercooler.

Tried to complete the heated fuel line but ive left it so long out in the rain untouched that the bonnet catch has seized and i couldnt get the bonnet open...it got cold then so i went in haha.

tonight....

heated leather smart car seats install and bolt in the cubby MSS cubby box that has been kicking around for about a year.

Its being done I swear!

Ive been busy up here, sorting out a new house etc. Just in the process of buying our "dream house" for £25,000!!!! God damn its cheap up here.

Ive had the 110 on a solar panel keeping the battery topped up and she started on the button today after a long long lay off. (god bless optimas!)

Sorted out the thermostat housing as the previous owner had stripped all the threads in it, so got out the helicoil set today. One job done. With that done, I was finally able to test out my heated fuel filter set up for the veg oil.

Works an absolute treat! within a couple of minutes fuel filter was toasty hot and the 200tdi settled down and ran better than ever :) Mucho pleaso.

Installed the missing windscreen washer bottle (a universal type)

rivetted on the missing covering piece off the bonnet, the rain going through the hole in the bonnet has caused a lovely corrosion circle to form on the head! Hopefully now its all sealed up she will stay clean.

Trying to solve the headlight issue, Ive changed all the switches, cleaned the fusebox, and there is no relay. I suspect the wires are just corroded and duff. I will install a relay setup to solve.

Heated smart car leather seats are in the front.

Side steps are on

Rear door installed and new seal installed too.

Busy day!

right now she is down here in good ol' lockerbie Ive been doing some more jobs.

replaced the rear csw panels for some commercial ones (saving weight)
installed series front doors - again to save weight and the hassle of the window mechs etc.
started to sort the wiring out under the dash - previous owner bodged seemingly every single circuit. Im really struggling to sort this... i hate electrics!

ive rivetted on the curved side panels behind the 2nd row doors and installed the floor panels.

cut down the sunvisors so they clear the roof console

thats about it thus far

Vacuum former is now up and running and with its large bed - 560mm x 400mm it means i can start producing some plastic parts at last! - namely, cheap consoles, air intakes etc :)

Fecking compressor stopped working half way through changing a tyre :mad:i think its electrical but beyond changing the fuse... god knows whats up with the stupid fink!

Probably the pressure switch has gone. check you have power in to the switch and then out of it. Cheap enough to get a replacement part off ebay

cheers mike!

I shall have a look at that. I was ready to kick the crap out of it when it broke down!

electrics! MERGH!

i think you are right mate. had power on one side but not on the other. (obviously with the switch on!)

I did manage to blow up my multimeter though :tea:

It's what I do for a living... If it's not switching to test the rest of the compressor you can wire the motor directly to a plug (assuming it's single phase 230v?) but don't use the compressor like that as it won't turn off when up to pressure. If it's all ok then a new switch is around £10 on eBay.
