Problem solving.

Hi all,
I have just brought a land rover discovery 1.
2 litre petrol.
and was looking for gear box oil recommendations please, I have had a look online but there seems to be too many different choices so I'm still unsure and wanted to know a few of your personal preferences please.
The gear is crunching from 1st to 2nd so I'm going through the process of elimination to rectify the problem.
Any info welcome.

Disregard my previous post about 2.0l discos being rare!

The crunch on 1st to 2nd gear is common on disco 1’s. A slow gear change helps but I found the best cure was synthetic gearbox oil from difflock.com

I would hazard a guess the 2 are 1.
