problem front drivers window

hi guys.
am having trouble with drivers window, opens ok, shuts ok but when fully shut. window motor makes hell of a noise, it seems that it does not want to stop winding up? as soon as i touch window switch the noise stops. anybody had same problem? and if so any answers to this. thanx in advance.

I've got the same problem-it's the window regulator (winder mechanism). I bought one off fleabay forr about £30 but haven't got around to fitting it yet-apparently it's dead easy but I'm waiting for warmer weather.

Done my regulator last week and its a easy job i used short nuts and bolts to fit it to the door instead of rivets
