Hi all I recently purchased a 110 roof and have fitted it only to find it's not correctly fitting I think the reason may be I have fitted 88 side windows onto a 2005 tub. Is there a difference between 88 side windows and newer side windows, would this stop the roof from fitting correctly and do I need to buy newer side windows ?

By "fitting windows" do you mean you have fitted 88 side panels or just windows into your original sides ? Also pics do not seem to show a 110 but I may be wrong because of the angle.

I will be watching with interest, as I was going to do exactly the same. All I’ve read and heard and measured seem to suggest that the series 3 sides are the same as the 110 station wagon sides. Are your sides twisted in any way?

A good friend of mine is doing the same job and it is something of a struggle. We have found that having the front doors fitted and B pillars and sill rails has helped presuming bulkhead and screen have not been removed. The CSW rear tub is a lot more flexible than a standard one. As AL203 says a lot more fettling to do.

Thanks all very much as a lot of you have said it’s early days once I’ve got the doors and sills and bits in it will become easier to find the problem, also read on a couple other forums that the 88 do literally just bolt on, I need to buy the correct bolts and seals then they should sit in correct place

I don't think you'll find a problem specifically with the roof as such. Gently bolt the panels together so that they can be persuaded to move slightly in order to get shut lines and panel joins to line up. Once happy then tighten everything. Have you had the bulkhead and wings off?
