Hi,

I am hoping to purchase a pre-2000 Discovery, and wondered what specific issues I should be looking for to hopefully own a reliable 4x4.
Or should I be looking for a newer model?

Any info appreciated

Hello Mate I own a 15 year old 200tdi and it has never let me down don't think because it is "new" it is in good condition, condition is everything do your research before jumping in and be prepared to walk away lots of times before you find a good un.check under boot floor carpet, all chassis to body mounts, all inner arches and the chassis itself give it a good prod with a screw driver.
