Quick question and there may be loads of answers, my TD5 feels like it's a bit down on power, is there a common thing or could there be a hundred things? Thanks
It could be because they are all slow and down on power, especially the auto's like mine, but that's how it is!
Really, can't imagine that even the V8's would spin four wheels in the wet?
Mine will beat most other vehicles away from the lights,is an auto ,but think it has been chipped. Also tries to spin the wheels in the wet and tc comes in-like a racing car compared to my old 300tdi manual
If you mean the MAF, they are there for a reason, you are likely to be using more fuel then necessary.Disconnect the sensor in the airbox,
If it fails, it seems to restrict the turbo boost to 1 bar
I did mine, and what a difference, never replaced it, they're pretty dear, but no ill-effects at all ( or engine management lights either)
cheers
The sensor in the airbox measures temp and pressure of ambient air and is referred to as the AAP (Ambient Air Pressure).
These are very cheap especially if you buy the same part but with a Mini label on it. About £25 from memory.
