power steering

the neatest ive seen was a pas ram fitted and connected in line with drag link used std lr pump res etc

Yes and this Converting a series Land Rover to power steering is about the best idea I have seen although I would probably use a Defender column instead of chopping up a series one.

that still requires alot of work especially steering column,ram type works but doesnt require anything bbut bolt on parts,tdz power steering i think ,but dont know cost only worked with them never bought one ,have done it the other way and would go with ram from now on

Looks good and easy to do but at £1200 odd per kit I think I wouldn't bother, the choice between 1200 and a little bit of work or about 200 odd for all the bits and a fair bit of work I personally, if I had the time and money would go for the P38 relay road as in my previous post although I do like the look of the TDZ kit. Verry neet but wayyyyyyyy too expensive.

never priced one just just worked on them, but is some cost with other system to do right as pas box will cost and work to steering column as def doesnt fit series dash,etc if doing all work yourself maybe alot cheaper fitting collection of parts ,but wouldnt be a lot in if garage fitted

Chris Perfect used to do an all in kit for about £750 - still expensive but it looked like a really good set up when I looked at it last

Done it with disco box and defender colum works a treat but had to move front xmember

im not 100% sure but im 80% sure that those power assised ram thingies make your landy and MOT fail wen that time of the year comes, and i also dont think that your insuer would be very happy with you

why not ive never had a problem getting them mot,d,at the worst you need a letter from firm that fitted

i think it was in a LRO magazine, but ive just heard this but i cant remenber where from so i say im 80% sure that its true, but with u saying this about your landy ill stand corrected
