is it poss to put power steering on a series 3 i have a disco pump etc is this compatable what do i need to change cheers all

dont think a disco one will fit, coz i believe the steering arm is the wrong side of the axle. Defender ones are normaly used. but then again - wot do i know..:bolt:

sounds about right to me mate. do you know what sort of price steering boxes go for just for selling purposes cheers

I remember reading an article about fitting a Range Rover steering box to a series Landy. The front X-member had to be cut off and moved forwards a few inches, then the chassis rails needed to be drilled and fitted with pipes welded in place to stop the chassis rails crushing when the mounting bolts are tightened.

Why are you that desperate for power steering anyway? If people want mod-cons like power steering and disc brakes and other fancies, why not just get a 90?
The steerings not that heavy anyway.

i know its quite heavy with 12.5's on i have a disco in bits just seeing if i could use the power steering. 90's to dear to tax and insure
my series is tax exempt and costs me about £100 a year to insure and i'm 21
