Power steering hose shape

Hi,

One of my rubber power steering hoses from the steel ones on the body to the steering rack is flattened along it's length, however the power assistance still works.
I suspect the hose has delaminated inside, or is this normal?

My TD4 2005 has the same problem ! LR dealer said it is normal ! They are all
like that !!??
Believe or not that is the question.
