Ok lets get back to topic, earlier you said there were more ways to get extra power from the M51 without resorting to a power box. Perhaps you could give us an insight into the methods from your vast knowledge base.
At least that would be constructive and not the twaddle you have come up with until now. I and maybe many others are all ears. The floor is yours.

I'd like to hear about that to!
Always willing to learn something new. ;-)

don't these 'chips' add up to about the same as the PSI powerbox, but with a rather more involved installation?

BMW E36 325 TDS , !! Chiptuning !! , Performance CHIP on eBay (end time 10-Jan-11 21:48:37 GMT)
BMW E34 525tds E36 325tds M51D25 chip 175HP 345NM on eBay (end time 24-Dec-10 10:07:51 GMT)

Perhaps another difference is that there seem to be a lot of happy PSI customers around, so you're paying a couple of hundred quid extra for peace of mind.

I have something like this in mine it is very quick. ECU is chipped. Dont know if they are plug and play like the PSI is though.

Seems very cheap next to a £400 super chip! Wonder what the BHP/ torque graphs are like

Think that maybe for the chip. Getting someone to programme it may be slightly more expensive. Unless they are plug and play which i doubt. One of the electronics lads may know more.

It's the price of a re-mapped chip. With the P38 it seems there are two systems, one is a piggy back chip soldered on, the other is remove the existing chip and replace it. Neither are without risk especially if you do not have the right equipment. A PSI Powerbox on the other hand is Plug and Play:D

In your world...........ok then....

Aah bless, it must be great to be out for Christmas. Care in the community is a great thing. Bet your carer will be dead chuffed with you looking after yourself for a few days. Can you remember where to go back to or do they come for you?

Not very good that, your falling behind very quickly. Maybe you should get your carer to write your scripts. Or you could always stop being an idiot and act like a grownup. Use your consumate knowledge and experience to answer a few queries maybe. Or has nobody asked how to sell a car today?
