Hi, never posted before but I'm flummoxed..... freelander 2002 td4 power mirrors have just started folding in when starting the engine and won't come back out on the switch, changed switch with other freelander and both work fine, started checking a few fuses and when I pulled the interior light fuse (f14) and put it back in they opened again, as soon as I started the engine again they folded back in. Any help would be great thanks.

Is this a new fault?
Yeh, I've just replaced one of the rear window regulators and when I started the engine the mirrors just folded in, but won't respond to the switch, I've checked the switch by changing it over with one from my other landy but no different, checked all wires but no breaks , i've never been this stumped before .....

That is a strange one, especially as the mirror controller isn't on an ignition circuit. From memory it's on the interior light circuit, which obviously isn't ignition controlled.

Have you checked for corrosion on the mirror fold controller?

Thanks for the info, I'll check for corrosion tomorrow but that makes a bit of sense as when I was checking fuses and pulled the interior light fuse (f14) when I put it back in the mirrors opened up again .....
