Does anyone have any pointers towards why my 1999 td5 fender appears down in power when it reaches normal operating temp, when cold it pulls away swiftly and accelerates as it should but when warm i have to use more revs to make it do the same, its had a new injector loom, genuinne maf sensor, new rad, no egr valve, injector washers and seals are new, and its serviced regular, no smoke visable at all, starts immediately:confused:

could be a faulty temp sensor or MAP sensor gunked up. it's also worth checking your ecu plug again in case there's still oil filtering it's way down to it. It could also be the in tank fuel pump going weak or the strainer filter blocked.

thanks so far i'll give them all a check over, which is the temp sensor, already cleaned map when i removed the egr valve, no oil present in ecu plug, my own thought is it could be the actuator arm sticking when warm allthough i've sprayed it with WD and worked it with molegrips, is that feasible, engine done 98000 is that about the right mileage to expect to have to re-con the turbo

ratty are you refering to the coolant temp sensor or fuel temp sensor?

and shifty the handbrake works as it should

what else is there

Well i fitted the new temp sensor and in the limited tests so far it seems to have made a difference, so thanks Ratty
