possable diff/wheel bearing problem?

Since buying it my p38 dse has had a slight rumble
Its defanatly wheel rotation related as it get faster the faster i drive there is NO knock or thump in the stering but it does get louder when i put steering input and it dosent matter whether its left or right (not alot of input just quickly changing lanes at speed)its more anoying than conserning
The knock is felt through the car
I was thinking wheel bearing when i bought it so wasnt concerned,but since ive checked the bearings on all wheel and they seem fine
Can a wheel bearing do this when steering left and right? And feel ok when checked?
Am i looking at a diff?or somthing eles?
It feels like its more underneath or rear but could be mistaken! Would a knock in the diff carry down the prop and feel like its coming from middle?
Getting sick of this alredy cos all the little jobs i thought were gona be simple are turning out to be a right b##ch

With the type of bearings In the p38 unless really worn you won't get any play yes they will whine more when turning

you just need to Decipher what side.

Jack both wheels ease of pads spin each wheel See if one feels irregular also turning left or right what ever is the Noisiest the opposite side to your turning is more than likely the one

normal cornering does that ,ie bearing noise gets worse when weights thrown on it ,you could check diff oil for traces of metal ie silver sheen

James if it were the dif would the noise not remain the same Either way you turn?

Just wait until the noise gets worse, had to do that on the Transit. No sign of play at the wheel, just an annoying faint drone to start with that varied with steering input but had to wait to tell if left or right until it got really noisy. There was still no play at the wheel but it became obvious that the loaded wheel was the culprit. With the wheel off and the caliper removed there was just a hint of roughness when the hub was turned, I cut the old bearings open and the outer race was pitted.

It does driving straight line too just not as loud
The worsed seem when cornering left but as i say it does it when straight and cornering righttoo but its not coming through the streering its more middle or back

that would suggest rh wheel bearing try a few corners to see if it is really worse one way

I have a similar issue with mine, a droning noise that turns into a more metallic noise on LH corners. I'm pretty sure its my OS front wheel as the CV boot has a slight split.

Mines not a drone its more like running over cats eys but not as harsh

Yesterday i had about half a ton of plaster in the back and was expecting the wheel bearings to knock like f### but they didnt in was exactly the same as when empty
So not sure if it is bearings?
Could it be the rear diff? Any way to check

might be signs in the oil or failing that,only by ruling out all other or by stripping out until it gets so bad as to become obvious ie you can feel it by turning the diff flange by hand (diff pinion bearings usually show noise on overrun first )

Ive left it to get worse and now it has im still no wiser lol
Its worse at speed but exactly the same left or right but does it even with small steering inputs like changing lanes at speed (not even puting extra weight on eather side)
Still no play at the wheels . Thinking duff diff not looked at it propperly yet but is it a big job?
Would it be the diff itself or the bearings?

Checked the oil
Does look alittle low but not much!
Gona drop the oil out to see if its got anything in it! is gear oil the same as diff oil? Cos ive got about 6l Of castrol auto gear oil!

Should be EP90 for the diffs. I did mine last month. Each diff should take approx 1.7L
