Please boast about this some more - I've just bought my insurance it's gone up again despite 22 years NCB . Perhaps I can offset this with a reward from the insurance company NOT paying out for your claim?

Are you related to that other freeloader fool who was prattling on about Disco's - he misread the forum too. Most in here have fun and will stretch social acceptability but I don't get the impression that they would seek praise for acting unsafely and putting others at risk through their own stupidity.

You're the first one I've read about that's braying and seeking adulation for being unsafe on the road. Well done, it's not often that someone I don't care about can get me angry enough to start swearing - but you have managed to.

Isn't the Freelander the most popular 4x4 in the UK? That many owners can't be wrong about the loveliness of the Freelander

I wasn't seeking praise, far from it. I was, if anything, hoping my mistake maybe help others not to make the same one. As far as driving unsafely is concerned I wasn't, (twenty years, no claims or accidents or anything) hence the term accident. I'm sorry if I came over as a cocky c**t that was not my intention. Subsequently, the 'lander is in for it's mot as I speak.

And thats no claims on riding bikes, works vans, cars, all for twenty years. My only concern after the accident was for the lady driver in the other car. One thing I don't like is putting any others at risk if I can help it. And I don't appreciate being called a c**t or a t**t. Limited vocabulary never impressed anyone.

I get the impression David doesn't think what he done was right, he's just sharing his story with the other forum users. I also see nothing wrong with the way he describes the accident as no one was hurt, just a coming together of metal and plastic.
MOT 3 weeks out of date, it happens, a simple mistake, deal with it.

Now I'm confused.
I guess we're all entitled to our views on certain cars. My opinion is the Freelander is the best looking out of all the Land Rovers. I don't dislike Discos, Defenders etc I just feel the Freelander gives me what I need out of a vehicle at a reasonable price.

just counted the positive comments on here about freelanders and i was amased to find there are only ten. the rest of the comments are people saying i agree.that is 20% of comments. the rest of you are just too busy calling me for my comments. this thread was originally posted to get you freelander owners for positive comments. ain't it funny how you can't even do that

Unfortunatly, most of the Freelander owners are out driving and enjoying their vehicles.

That just leaves the owners of defective rusty Discos, who, having spent the cold afternoon trying to get their vehicles working, have now switched on the computer whilst waiting for the kettle to boil and want to let off some steam in order to warm up!

In other words, we're out doing, rather than being in talking!

Not sure how much a spring and shock would cost for a Freelander, never needed to replace them.
