am i really that bad ;)

Boy oh boy, if I knew you better and if I wasn't such a nice person I would say "that's the understatement of the year", but as I said, I am too nice and don't know you enough to say such things ...;) :D :D :D

yella disco , did'nt mean to offend you , just tryed to make a point which i think i did , "so i'm sorry " there you go thats was'nt hard at all .
it's not nice when someone throws a wobble in your direction for no reason other than they think it's funny , and when your a new member it's even worse .
i've posted two questions on this forum niether of them was answered without smart arsed comments , and meaningless remarks , checkout your response to my 2.5 nad question .
not only am i new to forum i'm also new to computers so i don't really know what i'm doing anyway. you need to remember some people have questions that they need answers to , even if you think they are stupid .
i've just read your " i promise" post , nobody is asking you to do that , and you can be pretty dam funny at times , but thats up to you .
newbies need time to get used to how things work before you rip them apart .
so i'll say it again " SORRY YELLA DISCO " just trying to make a point .

The difficult thing about a Land Rover forum, is it covers such a wide spectrum of vehicles and owners, and uses for the vehicles.
Trialers, laners, winchers, farmers, horsey types, caravanners, boating types, famillies, and company directors, (in no particular order).
This goes from, Rover cars, British Leyland, Land Rover, British aerospace, BMW, and Ford, and some i might have missed, but we all have a passion for the name and our particular vehicle/s.
From Range Rover to Discovery and Freelander, Land Rover has had to move on and supply a demand, which if they hadn't, Land Rover would have died years ago, and these 3 models have saved their bacon.
The "banter" between the different supporters is at times very amusing, and i myself have been guilty of defending my corner, but what we must all remember is, the name attracts attention and followers all around the world, and lots of kids would be searching the web for anything Land Rover, with this in mind i think we should all moderate the "foul" language, which crops up from time to time.
Im no prude, driving lorries for 30 years, i have heard everything (and repeated most:D ) but this is an international forum, and if you want to talk dirty, perhaps send each other PM's:rolleyes:

I love my Freelander. People say it is not a proper Land Rover but like Rick says it wears the badge with pride. I am a Sales man for a local hyundai dealership and i have to try and pretend that the Tucson, Santa Fe and Terracan are a better 4x4 than the Freelander, well the truth is they are not. We should all stick up for the Freelander as we bought them for a reason. They are Land Rovers. Most of them are slow and rattle alot but that is why we love them so much. I took my old Freelander off roading and it could go places that other so called SUVs could only dream of. Thank you rant over!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Freelanders may not be the most reliable 4x4 in the world but they have so much character. Even after 6 months of ownership I still look forward to driving my 2000 model V6 Hippo, I'm normally bored with cars after a few months ;)
I think the only downside to mine is the bad fuel economy, BUT, she goes like stink when I demand it so can live with that.

my kids are 6 & 8 and when i take em to school, you walk up the path and the language you hear off kids as young as 6 or 7 is enough to make a whore blush so i think using kids as an argument against foul filthy disgusting bad language is a bit fruitless ;)

I kinda agree with the yella fellow on this one, but he once told me to pull my neck in on this same subject [and i did] but still think that yes i swear like a trooper but a bit of ***"""$$$ would not be to difficult , so let us set a bit of standard , and we can all get the drift and still make are f*c&s and cu2TZ AND GA%LA£D£R$ without to much hassle , i know the yella man means no harm [in fact he is often a helper in the gay lander forum] whoops , nuff said. . . bow to your ruler with respect. the Ming

I love my freelander. Why just today I introduced it to the back end of a volkswagen and guess what? the freelander won. No one hurt but 'lander needs new bottom half of bumper. Incidentally, anyone know the repercussions of having a crash without a current M.O.T. cetificate (three weeks out). And, why did my airbag not activate (35mph abs activated whoomph, srs sign on but no airbags???

If the insurance company don't ask for the MOT then they'll never know. I wrote a car off with no MOT and they paid out.
Unless you smashed your nose open on the steering wheel the car decided the air bag was not worth inflating. Has to be a pretty hefty head on I believe to make the airbag inflate.

Thanks for that. I guess that info will not be volunteered during the insurance inqusition. Wonder how I can explain the cracked windscreen as I was carrying an ironing board home from diy store and it became an extreme ironing board, flying up and trying to ecape the confines of the 'lander via the windae
