Popping noise when turning slow speed

Hello all. New here to the forum, but a long time reader. I've searched this forum and others and can't find too much information.

I have a 63 Series IIA 109 LHD Station Wagon that is making a popping kind of noise on the right hand side front area when making slow speed turns.

Any thoughts? Ideas? As always your help is appreciated!

put it in low box jack just that wheel up and feel for excessive play whilst rocking wheel one way then the other

Tyre rubbing on leaf spring ?

Check for polished bits on edge of leaf spring.

@jamesmartin Thanks for the advice! That doesn't seem to be the problem.

@Bobsticle good call. I will check that today. I didn't see anything suspect under the truck yesterday when I was changing fluid. It's baffling at the moment because it doesn't happen every time.
