Hi,
I have the following faults logged on my Disco 2 facelift 15p engine (manual gearbox). I take it the sensor in the air box needs replacing. Im only getting a reading of 2.93kpa on logging.

NANOCOM - TD5ENG.APP - TD5 ENGINE fault file

(2,8) AMBIENT PRESSURE CIRCUIT, (LOGGED LOW).
---
(4,3) COOLANT TEMPERATURE CIRCUIT, (LOGGED HIGH).
---
(6,8) AMBIENT PRESSURE CIRCUIT, (CURRENT).
---
(24,7) PROBLEMS DETECTED WITH AUTO GEARBOX, (CURRENT).

Genuine is always the best cos OEM doesnt mean much these days and it's an important sensor, fortunately for 15P is not as expenive as for 10P, search for Rover MHK100820 or MHK100820L

Just called John Craddocks, nothing in stock at all... Can I run with it disconnected, to give a default map ?

Cheers for the quick reply Sierrafery... I need some bits from Craddocks anyway, so will pop down this morning and order a genuine sensor. My MAF is new and genuine, so the rest might as well be, seeing as they are the important sensors. Its only the MAP that is so pricey, I'll wait for it to fubar up...

WEll, before parting with my hard earned, I decided to have a check of all the connections. Found the AAT plug had been dislodged. I checked the air filter the other day, and didnt realise I'd moved it... So I took the MAP and AAT sensors out, gave them a clean, and the readings ate better. 100kpa at the AAT

100 is the default value so if it's OK it has to drop few units under load, eventualy compare with a barometer also it has to be extremely close to the MAP reading at idle

Just to confirm and follow up, I have had no ambient sensor faults logged since replacing the sensor with a genuine LR one....
