poly bush

am thinkin aboot changin to poly bushes on my light weight and was a bit stumped when a tryed to get the old ones out i tryed ye olde land rover No1. special tool i whacked it till ma arm hurt then some. then tryed a slide hammer. still no luck. so i just wanted to check incase i was missin summit before a gave it some heat and fillt ma shed full o blue reek.

you can either cut throught the bush wiff a hacksaw then use the sheffield fine adjuster and old screw driver to blooter them oot or buy/steal/borrow or make a bush puller.
i used an old bit of egghost pipe, two big washers, two nuts and a length of screwed rod to make one.

take a tip. dont use an OLD bit of exhaust pipe! esp a landy one!

use a bit of a newish one.

worked ok fer me and i did all me bushes. maybe i should have speshifried that it wur a SS egghost

and ah dint think he wur daft enough to use a bit that wur paper thin doo to rust

i use scaffolding pipe, so there.

ah would have but ah dint have any so i used what wur available so narrrrrr!

ok now lads stop biccerin av got a lovley bit o aly tube just the right size.

p.s. a noticed that on ma new X-member that the casing around the bush has been punched (with a punch) to hold the bush in so a might need te drill the punch mark out
