i've seen a police gaylander around ere so that blows your theory outta the water !

Well that's subjective. Gaylander 2 is arguably better for their needs. Better fuel consumption. Better road handling and adequate off-road capability.

Round near me, (preston traffic police to be exact), A few years ago used to have p38s for the motorways, then they were replaced with l322s, and now disco 3 Tdv6s, Sam

ive seen nissan navara's, gaylanders and discovery 3 and 4's as police cars, i mean a discovery??? are the police getting unions involved with their working conditions and demanding more comfort!!!

Out here until recently the local police managed quite well with a couple of 20 year old diesel Renault 19's, No flash expensive graphics all over them either.

wouldnt worry about police cars too much as in the next 3 years they wont be able to afford to buy any !

Would be handy to have some blue strobes and a siren so you could get home quicker from the pub.:D:D:D

I have actually followed (on my motorbike) and photographed a UK traffic car lights and sirens going, traveling way in excess of the limit to get to Tesco's before they shut.

Good god man what are you suggesting. Could it be that you are saying SOME police officers would abuse their position for their own benefit?:D:D

The car belongs to a fellowmember on rangerovers.net: tjh2dUVA

He's made great upgrades on the car - looks smashing!!

Who needs High Speed Pursuit Vehicles to-day? With modern technology.... radio & telephones!... a call ahead can usually arrange a road block. Saves pushing some looney beyond their capability into having a crash and killing innocent bystanders!
