Who needs High Speed Pursuit Vehicles to-day? With modern technology.... radio & telephones!... a call ahead can usually arrange a road block. Saves pushing some looney beyond their capability into having a crash and killing innocent bystanders!

They wouldn't like that, they like playing Starsky & Hutch. As well as all that technology, they also often put their £5000 per hour helicopter up in chase situations:mad:
Funny how, in Sussex, they could always manage to get 6 units to a minor RTA in minutes but it takes 2 days to get to burglary in progress:mad::mad:

Been told you only get what you pay for: it`s because UK taxes are so low that the police and other government services are down on what they were.. . So pay more tax and get all the benefits of living in a police state.

You have a good sense of humour, I pay a lot less tax here in France than I did in the UK.
When I had my one man limited company in the UK, I did some calcs with my accountant, I reckoned that 80pence of every pound of profit I made went in taxes direct or indirect, stealth or in your face.
Here as an Autoentreprenuer I would pay 23% total tax and social security, compare that to the UK with employers and employees NIC coming in at 22% now I believe plus tax on profits plus income tax before you start on all the other taxes. Last year my tax rate on my pension was 5% here after allowances compared to a base tax rate of 20% in the UK.
Most of the tax take in the UK seems to disappear into a black hole of waste:mad: Council chief execs on £200,000 a year equality workers on £40k etc etc.

We already live in a police state. I believe the average person walking around the average city in England is seen on CCTV 300 times in a day. Says it all, when you cross the border from Scotchland and as you see the "Welcome to England" sign, there are about thirty camers on the bridge a few yards further on. George Orwell would have been well pleased bet he is laughing his bloody socks off. They are now busy setting up average speed cameras at every junction on or off and at motorway services. But of course we all know what they are really for. Road pricing. They use about 1p out of every pound in tax the motorist pays on the roads and still want us to pay to use them. England is fast becoming the place NOT to live if you smoke, drink or drive a car.

There`s cities `n` there`s cities... One side of London to t`other.. any thing over 2 hours. Paris one side to t`other normally 45mins during the day, less at night, more in rush hour, maybe up to 90mins. Dorset cities.... Bournemouth east-west 2hours `cause you gotta get past all the blue rinse brigade out for a sunday drive (on a tuesday), and north-south crossing is reserved for visitors from Zummerzet.
P.S. Whoops B`mouth in Hants now I think, that leaves,....um...

if we had P38 police cars over here, no would get caught, , a 20 minute chase would be about the best it could manage. before headgasket blew, or susupension failed, or one of many faults happened, but just imagine how many police officers would be members on here

anyone got a pic of that p38 with its black alloys? i was thinking of getting my hurricane alloys sprayed black. i think it will look awesome but i want to see what they look like before i do it.

i want one of theses for my p38 but then i am a retained firefighter an this would make it much easier for getting thru traffic to the station on a shout:D:D:D
