Yes the other night they came and knocked on the door to say there were three land rovers (didn't say the models) stolen the other night locally please be aware?

OK thanks suddenly any land rover (regardless of model) locally has a steering wheel lock.
I thought this was only the newest Land Rover with key less n go that were most at risk.
My2011 L322 should be OK?
If not what's a good steering lock

Disklok fitted loosely so it's difficult to turn the wheel and wheels turned to full lock

90', 110's and 130's.

Anyone who stole a P38 would be asking for help with the air suspension within three days as they don't understand it.

anyone who stole an L322 or later would be asking for help with gearbox/electrics* (Choose as appropriate) within 3 days

Bastions right though. Insurers are beginning to refuse to cover Sports and Evokes because so many go missing (probably hiding with embarrassment )

Insurers will not cover new Range Rovers in London - unless you have secure parking - London - News - London Evening Standard

Then no-one would want it.

I've often wondered just how steal-able the average P38 is... IF it starts, doesn't overheat and has enough fuel in it to get anywhere the chances are the air suspension will sink before they get to the end of the road!

Most of them think they are being stolen at the hint of a jump start and immediately incapacitate them selves let alone being actually broken into!

Even if they nick the keys for a p38 you still may not be able to get into it let a lone start it

yes but worth feck all unless defenders..one can buy the stuff to nick a new rangie off ebay for sub £100..takes about 30secs to get it started...

seems strange that ebay will sell such stuff, but they do!

Easiest way of making your p38 look like a sport is just don't buy one - leave the drive empty where your sport would have briefly lived.

Just before Xmas our house was broken into, trying to get the keys to my Z4 even though the front of the drive has bollards. The police caught the $@*%&**@'s (insert the expletive of your choice). They will be sentenced in March after spending a few months locked up.

The police said they had been doing the same all over the north birmingham area, stealing Land/Range Rovers, Audis BMW. It's more than likely they are part of a larger gang.

After giving it some thought recently I have come to the conclusion that it was not my BMW they were after, but my lovely 2004 1.8 Freelander.
