Please help--- i am new to this site

Hi! i got a range rover 4.5Ltr Petrol Automatic. i had a problem couple of days ago. when i was driving suddenly i dint have power in the gear. i had 2get a reovery to the landrover dealer. they diagnosed and told me that transmission oil pipe has bursted. once they replaced it they told me that its need new cooling motor too, also they said that once they replace the motor only they will know about further damage to transmission box. its costing me a fortune to do all this. did any one had this problem? will d transmission box damaged???
