Hi all,
My freelander 1999, petrol 5 door.
Today is not starying, i ahve attempted to jump start it as had sat for around a week or so, no joy.
My radio will no longer come on my odometer is not lighting up but all the dash lights come on, ie battery, handbrake etc.
I turn the key but dont even get a click :(

My car was recently in for its MOT and unsyre if garage unplugged battery as onlydrove it a few miles home and parked it in drive.

Would battery becoming disconnected cause a proble say with the immobiliser ??

Please advise
Thanks

You have bought a Land-Rover which is unnecessarily complicated, with insufficient off road ability and way too much comfort. Solution - sell it and buy a series Land-Rover.

Thanks all of you for your help

If I wanted a ruff n ready type of 4x4 I would have joined the rmy or become a farmer :) lol

O.K. sorry mate:D - you might have more luck asking in the Freelander section (where the hairdressers hang out;)).

i shall now go and polish my army boots after milking my cows:rolleyes:

Are the connections with the battery good either way? Clean them up with emery cloth and give Batt a good charge too. But there is more info on the Freelander websites too

Post problems with your freelander in the freelander section to minimise the stupid replies.
If the garage disconnected your battery you would not have been able to start it in order to drive it home.

I would check the condition of your battery, it may be flat and need charging or replacing.

Do a search on jump starting we've had this before.

General Land Rover Chat Doesn't fit in anywhere else? Not sure where to post? Stick it in here and someone will move it if needed! :)

The reason I posted my question here was because of what it says in the title of this thread.(above)

I thought I could get some help from other Freelander owners or previous freelander owners.
Not abuse from wannabe army GI Joes or sheep shagging farmers :)

Anyway, I got the problem solved by getting a new starter motor fitted this morning, Freelander is back on the road, running well and looking good.

Thanks to anyone who tried to help, and get it right up you to the rest with all your useless and **** poor comments:mad:
