Piston cooling jet found in sump

Hi, Drained the engine oil the other day, in the drained oil was a short piece of steel pipe approx 4mm outside dia. and a small piece of metal.
I think the pipe is one of the piston cooling jets broken off from its fixing block, and the bit of metal is possibly a small piece if piston skirt.
The engine is running fine, and thinking back I suspect this happened in mid August when returning from hols, there was a strange 'pinging' sound for a few secs.
Does anyone know if, with sump and stiffener plate out of the way, can the cooling jets be accessed/changed ?

No idea mate but its got to be easier than pulling the engine.
I think you'll be able to see them but as for getting to the mounting screw I couldn't say.
It may be a bit tight but you might be able to turn the crankshaft to give access.

Thanks Shifty, might be a week or 2 before I can get chance to have a go, but will let you know.

Update,
I was all setup to get the sump off today, but the weather has intervened, the old girl is needed untill the white stuff has gone away. Will keep you all posted.
