Yes that is the top of the N/S chassis rail & The AFrame crossmember. that's the side facing forwards. Tuther side int Much better.. & the O/S is starting to go at the rear on the top of the rail and the front face of the Crossmember is holed..

I think It just reached the point of no repairs.. :(

Gotta have the Conversation with Minty, when she gets in at 7.00.

Options are

Strip rear tub off and weld it.

Scrap it & sell the bits.

. Or

Strip it put everything in the workshop & wait until I can afford a new chassis.

& sort out what I'm gonna do for transport in the meantime.

Anyone got a cheap estate car, Disco or small van for sale????

**** that is bad ,i doubt that can be repaired and still be road safe

could be repaired..everything is possible...but time???and its not like its the last one on the planet..cheaper to buy another..

you got stitched up with that one pikey, what about getting a few of us down for a weekend after xmas and getting the chassis swapped over?i will up for it,will book a weekend off

The joys of buying dirt cheap, unseen, off a farmer. Mind you it's lasted me 2 years, So it's not done too bad. currently stands me about £3k (Not Inc alloys & toys) so All is not lost yet. :)

Update..

I've decided on a full rebuild on a noo chassis. got several "spares" inc 2 front door frames & a bulkhead, LT77 gearbox injector pump Fuel tank (at Si's) and the offer of a free disco 300TDi engine, that has about 123k miles on it with recent cambelt & Head gasket done.

So in the new year. I'll be stripping it completely, going over every component and repairing, renewing or replacing anything that's fooked. and galvanising as much as possible, before rebuilding it on a new Galvy chassis. Might even give it a decent nice bright paint job.

Watch this space..
