Hi All. Crying for help again. I want to remove and clean the EGR valves but am finding it near impossible to get at all the bolts and screws to get them off. I have looked on the internet and see that there is a youtube video on how to remove but I don't think that they are the pierburg EGR. Does anyone know of a link that can help me?

Hi

May i ask did u 100% confirm there faulty, must admit if I was going to all that trouble I would replace them

Do believe the throttle bodies can also cause egr error codes , there is a revised throttle body

Also think if they haven’t got a dpf u can blank the egrs , the D4 forum will know better

have a look on here as they may have an egr guide for u

Hi D3 Grandad, Thanks for your feedback and interest. I am not 100% sure that it is an EGR valve as the code it throws does not appear in my WS manual P042F-77, however it happens after the car has been left in the garage for a few days. When I first start it up and reverse out it pops up with 'Restricted Performance'. The car does not actually go into Restricted Performance mode and still has all the power. If I take it on a long run and reset the codes it stays away for a couple of weeks and then comes back. I have had the main Turbo and egr valve changed by JLR agents about 50k Kms ago so suspect only one egr.

Hi Grandpa (Although I think I am older than you) Thanks for all the leads. I have found a place that will remap and delete the EGR s. Looking at the Blanking Plates they look the same for the D3 as the D4 can anyone confirm that for me?

Curious if you deleted the egr in the ccf do you still need to blank it ? I’m willing to be educated
