Sorted my door trims today.

Drilled four 10mm holes and put a nut rivet in each corner and then stuck the trim on with four stainless bolts, easy, secure and easy to get off in the future.

This is a belting thread.

I bought a 110 hard top a year ago with the intention of doing her up. Trouble is, she's my daily runner and a workhorse so can't afford to have her off the road.

I'm a fabricator welder of 17 years with a family business to play in but just don't get chance to drag her out of use for a few days.

I repaired my footwells and seat box then had new outriggers on the rear then work stopped. Just had to make a new bumper though so that's kicked me back into action.

Think I'll resurrect my old thread and post pics of progress. I love these kind of threads.

Nice looking motor.

Ripping out the motor to put an even older one in, as its replacement.

Took off the front end today, ready for the engine conversion.

Used 3mm steel chequer plate which will out last the rest of the landy!

I love your Idea for the rock sliders and have thought about it my self but have to ask about the legalities of the mod mot wise???

Do you still have the outrigger brace to the radius arm still(can't tell from photo)

Not trying to be a kill joy - just interested in your idea but unsure about PC plod

As long as its structually sound, i cant see why it would not pass an MOT.

It is far stronger than the original outriggers, retains the body mountings, seat belt achorages etc.

I'm also a qualified Automotive engineer, Welder & mechanic i haven't just welded on some bars there is a lot of thought that goes into these things.

Yes have retained braces from radius arms.

Got nothing to do with PC plod its all to do with the Ministry of transport!

I will take it for MOT and if it dont pass then i will have to get it SVA tested.

I've seen many vehicles with similar or even more extensive mods pass an MOT, But if you want to follow the red tape then you are more than welcome too!

I'll let you know if it passes in a few weeks time. ;)
