Fitted my arches, and had a first look at what my wheels and tyres will look like.

Fitting the rear side glasses,
I was told to put the inserts on the out side, but i thought they are better on the inside for better security.

I noticed that my left rear side glass was fitted with the bead on the outside - I took it off and put it on the inside for that very same reason (security). I noticed that I have two glasses the same as on the LH the words are back-to-front :)

Looking good - I like the door repair pics.
The colour looks ace too...

Keep the pics coming :)

I bought a central locking system for £20 off e-bay bargain!:)

The solenoids fit perfect into the door, no rods needed, just direct bolting between the lock and solenoid. (This 0/s door has been modified due to corrosion however.)

N/s door lock solenoid postion on an unmodified door, bolting directly to the lock.

Both door cards fit on perfectly with no adjustment needed, however i will be doing away with the internal door lock buttons. but i think they could even be retained with a little further faffing.

Then remove dash, drill lower dash for wiring to go through, and drill bulkhead to fit bracket to hold central locking ECU.

I bought a piece of shiny tread plate off ebay for £3.00 delivered.

The size was 200x100mm, i asked the seller to cut it in half and then when it came i drilled a few holes and then you have the cheapest bumper treads available.

Thanks - as a matter of interest have you a rough idea of how much paint you used and does the hardener contain isocyanates, you know the stuff that requires airfed masks etc.

I used about 4.5 ltrs, I thought all 2K paint had isocyanates in it.
However things have changed in recent years, i'm not sure TBH.
