Hi All,

I am having a mare of a time removing leaks from my petrol tank. I have replace all the gaskets and hoses. I am now left with what looks like a small leak coming from one of the screws on the fuel return pipe - I have put some liquid gasket in the hole and on the thread - still seems to leak.

When I took the screw out, there was a hiss of air - It had only been in for a day.

The car is running on LPG, so the problem is not with the fuel pump.

The only unusual thing about the car is that it has an Edelbrock carb fitted which does not have a return pipe fitted - so that has been blocked off.

I have replaced the fuel filler cap in case that had been a problem.

Questions - Is there a fuel tank breather pipe (where is it? Could it be blocked?) - Could blocking off the return pipe be the problem? I could fit a fuel regulator in with a return pipe if needed. - Is a bit of pressure normal? - Would fitting new machine screws be a good move - any idea what size they are?

Thanks all.

PS. Wagon is, Standard 1988 Land Rover 90 V8, fitted with V8 3.9, Autobox, LPG, Edelbrock Carb
