Petrol Smell

I went for a spin earlier and i could smell petrol after a while . It was more obvious when i turned the fan on to clear the windscreen Any ideas?

Have you checked for petrol leaks under the bonnet?
There are several fuel system joints that are prone to leaking, as the O ring seals degrade over time.

Seems to have been the intake pipe. "intake pipe insecure". Is this under the car? There is no smell now, So i thought i would post as it may help other members in the future

If you're talking about the air intake, then no, it's high up behind the RH headlight.
