Hi guys as you may have seen from some of my other posts i am converting my S2A from Diesel to Petrol to get a bit more power.

Have come to fit the petrol downpipe and after some head scratching figured that it must run over the top of the gearbox mount. Is this correct? If so how on earth do you get it in, do you have to remove the mount? Mine has a welded in gearbox cross member.:confused: Spent some time trying all differnt ways in the freezing cold this evening and gave up, having a beer instead.

The diesel routing is so much easier to fit.

Thanks

I've used fuel hose from the tank to the pump and also put in an inline filter. Mine is zip tied to the top of the chassis rail. access was through the seat box and floor panel.
Cheers

I have just realised we are not talking about the same thing. I was meaning exhaust downpipe (agree the title is not clear)

Did wonder how fixing an exhaust pipe with cable ties would work, OK whilst cold :D

Can you offer any advice for the how to get the exhaust downpipe over the gearbox cross member?

Sorry for the confusion

You either have to jack the left front really high and slip it in from the front or take the seat box out then it's even easier (but removing seat box can be a pain)

Haha, I thought same as James....

Exhaust downpipe had me swearing a fair bit. Jacking up the front by about 4-6" or doing it over a pit and suddenly its fairly easy...took me about an hour to work that one out!
