im was on the lookout for an lpg disco but couldnt find a decent one in my price range ive now been offered a petrol one 1998 with 73000 miles on the clock its got rust in the rear arches ive had a quote to get these repaired which the seller will take of the price what i want to know is are these cars very thirsty as it wont be used everyday also are these expensive to get converted to lpg as i could do this at a later date and as i say i am getting this car for a good price thanks for any replies.

18mpg average which is about right for a V8 engine in any vehicle and £1500 to £3000 for a LPG conversion which will give you about a 10% power reduction although cheaper to run. It all depends on the miles you expect to do each year. The disco your looking at has a lower than average mileage so other than the rust problems could be a good buy, also they are easier to maintain the engine than diesel disco's.
