I ve had my 1993 90 200tdi a couple of years now. Its a good one with a 2 inch lift (done properly) brand new heated seats, webasto cab heater, allisport intercooler brand new tyres and so on. Thing is its also very reliable and has never let me down and is very solid underneath, cared for and wax oiled etc . I'm not sure what it would be worth but maybe £4k?But, I'm thinking of changing. I look at Discos 2 s with their TD5 and think how easy it would be to get the kids in and out, how I could use it on the motorway and how much newer it would be for the money. I am also thinking a bit of a fun project with a remap etc. I know about dodgy chassis corrosion and would check that but I just know...I really know...that 6 months down the road I'll be looking at 90s with nostalgia and a hankering again!

Nah, move on, have a change swot life's all about.. late D2's are nice, especially in ES trim.. can always get another 90 when you get bored of the Disco.. :)

D2's are definitely boring, they're just cars that happen to be 4x4's. The only reason I've got a D2 is because they're cheap to buy, and I can't afford a Defender. Keep the Defender, you'll regret it if you get rid of it. If you really must get a D2, get one without a sunroof and go for the most basic model, lot less to go wrong ;)

Don't do it man, Defenders are timeless, Discovery 2 all ready looks dated, nothing against Discoveries, just a Fender is a proper iconic vehicle.

I agree and you are right...but I still find myself looking at black ES models!
Nice glossy Java black with privacy glass, 18" rims and plush sandstone leather heated electrically adjustable seats with the effortless cruising ability of the silky smooth TD5 mill concealed under all that soundproofing you mean? Hmm.. it's a right quandary.. wish I could help! :D

I've sort of gone the other way, had a D1 and now an old LR90, its not insured yet but still makes me smile every time i look at it :)

Just bought my 3rd 90 (last one was 10yrs ago) and I'm already wishing I'd held out for a nice comfy RR Classic lol :D

Decision made! Its up for sale. Can always go back to a defender...and probably will....but fancy a disco 2 to play with. Ive put the add above.

Sell the 90 and buy a 110 CSW. I have 5 kids and never have a problem getting them in and out.

My last car was a TD5 Disco and cost more in repairs over 2 years than my 110 cost to buy!

I wouldnt mind doing that but a good 110 county would mean adding a fair few thousand and then Id have to start spending again to get it up to the standard of the 90 I have with the extra heater, new seats etc. Ive even looked at, dare I say it, Jeep Wranglers with a 4 litre manual box!
