Hi,

I've seen this topic covered on a multitude of forums so apoligies for bringing up this old chesnut again! But.. I haven't found any decent solutions offered to permanently seal the sunroofs. I'm not interested in repairing them at all.. at all. I'm looking for something along the lines of a sealant that can be applied between the glass edge and the car roof. Can anyone recommend some kind of sealant that would be up to the job?

So far I've found 'Tiger Seal', has anyone used this and found it to be any good?

Many thanks :)

There are two seals either could be faulty, the glass seal (maybe faulty) and then the infamous sunroof cassette to roof panel (80% chance of this one being faulty.
Both can replaced, either removing the complete sunroof and then refitting it with a new bead of sealant, ‘silkaflex’ or similar (I don't know what tiger seal is like) or as easy as running a thin 5-8mm bead externally around the edge of the black plastic frame were it meets the roof, user masking tape on both, leaving the gap between the two, carefully smooth the sealant and remove the tape. Job done.
Replace the glass seal if that is found to be faulty. Job done.

Sent from my iPad on a train.

Sounds like a plan.. I really don't want to have to rename it a Land River Discovery :D

Fingers crossed discool!

Hope so Henry_b, so long as it stops dripping water all over my nice leather seats! :D
