hey folks,

im currently in the middle of fitting a 2.0td perkins prima engine to my series 2a landy, im using the mk1 addapter plate which uses the sherpa starter motor, has anyone done this conversion before? if so id love to hear from you to share any hints / tips etc as im stuck at moment, i read that the end of the crank has to be cut for this conversion but im not sure if this is true or how much to cut off, any help would be very much appreciated, as im dying to get my old landy back on the road, hate not being able to drive her rite now! :(

cheers,

kris.

hows it going with you? how far have you got. trust me its worth it, coz its alittle cracking engine!! my series left a guy in a transit for dust, should have seen the look on his face :D

haha! sounds cool, iv heard so much good reports on the perkins prima, at the moment iv got the engine on the bench, renewed all the filters, timing belt, glow plugs etc. iv got the mk1 adapter plate ready to fit onto the engine, only problem is that according to the info iv been following from the dudleigh website on the conversion it says that the end of the crank needs to be trimed off and says its fairly obvious where to cut, to be honnest i havent got a clue where to cut, this is whats holding me up with my conversion and its driving me mad not being able to jump in the old landy and take her for a spin! im sure you understand where im coming from! haha! iv had the addapter plate and fly wheel on the engine and everything turns free as it should with no obstructions, do you have any suggestions?

cheers,

kris.

cheers,

kris.
