Hi,

Can anyone please recommend me a good performance exhaust to install on my MY2010 Range Rover 5.0L V8 Supercharged?
Would prefer if it would be a bolt on installation...
Awaiting your reply
Thanks

You have a 5 litre engined supercharged V8 with more power than Battersey power station and you want to fit an exhaust costing a bloody fortune to get a slight if anything at all power increase. What a waste of money.

I'd reccommend BORLA systems from the US. Top quality workmanship and they are used to doing performance systems for high end cars. Prices are very similar to Janspeed, RPi and all the rest but in my opinion Borla is leagues ahead.

I've got a Quicksilver one on mine, sounds very nice and looks good (I think so anyway). They are a Brit company, so delivery is likely to be quicker, although likely have to make you one as they don't stock for every model all the time. They also don't do fitting, but any decent indy garage will be able to do that for you in about 45 mins. They claim it gives my model an extra 17 BHP, but I've not had it dyno'd, nor am I that bothered.

Depends whether you are after extra power or just the look/sound? Companies like Overfinch, Kahn and Revere London will all do cosmetic ones, but I'm not sure any of their give extra power output.

The criteria to install a good exhaust system is to get a nice sporty exhaust note on higher revs. More performance out of the exhaust system is always welcome.

Performance Exhausts ! Land Rovers chief driving instructor the legendary Don Green whose old company P38 I have told me ! That all sports exhausts were a waste of time unless you had the car completely re jigged because any improvement made by a straight through sports exhaust was canceled out by the ECU adjusting things to match out the quicker exhaust porting ! Is that still true ?

I don't think you need any more power but I also heard good things about quicksilver who offer a range of different pipes depending on how loud you want it but what sounds good with a foot full may soon get on your tits on a long journey
They have some demos on the v8 range on YouTube and you can also choose what outlets you want
