Well home a last and man what a weekend fri afternoon started with the beer in full flow from 3pm ish although the wild camping spot could have been better but it served its purpose and was close to the pub.
The midges were ruthless fri evening, and everyone came away bitten to death.
Sat morning started rather early with the noise cling, clang, cling, cling, clang of a early morning risers kettle so that was it i decided to climb from my pit and go for a dip in ladybower res.
The lanes started well with the first being stanage edge i think and then the fun began with dare i say it " i've got a rattle on the front somewhere" no offence with the quote Tim C.
Anyway the " rattle " turned out to be a loose hub so it was tightened and then off we trotted again along houndkirk, pindale, and a few others i cant remember then just after lunch we hit chapelgate and a bunch of fancy dress ramblers , and plenty of young ladies .
Bumped into mike with the topless landy and his mate with a poorly RRC to be informed that a guy had broken down on chapelgate so off we went to check it out, only to see him being towed up by someone else.
Anyway did chapelgate whilst dodging cyclists and then pulled over so Topcat could relocte his rear springs, and then tim and darren bled the brakes on my RRC so after the brakes were sorted we set off again and we'd just got to the end of the lane when yes that right the "rattle" returned  so we found somewhere to pull in and then the surgary began wheel off bearing or should i say what was left of it off, mashed stub axle off now im think think **** it call the RAC and get me outta here, then kingy made a call to his buddy and sourced one. Cheers kingy :D:D.
So with cash in hand off he sped with little john on a 2hr round trip to get a stub axle,20 mins later Greg the farmer turns up and goes " everything alright mate " jokingly i said you aint got a stub axle and wheel bearing kit have you and his reply was yeah ive got 3 complete axles in the yard for these  i couldnt belive it.
Anyways Kingy returned with his gift from the gods and Darrn and Topcat got me back on the road :D Cheers guys again.

Ill add more info later about sunday but heres a few pics of the weekend and some of the other issues we faced.

So back on the road after a 3hr loss of lane time , the decision was made to hit the local campsite and feast on bbq. The site was ok for short notice site costing £6 for the night.
The tents went up and the beers began to flow again whilst Darren took the roll of gordon ramsey and cooked dinner :D cheers mate enjoyed the fodder. During dinner the hardcore campers released there kids and the noise began but this was short lived thanks to topcat and his impression of a mental patient the kids then vanished, very quickly.
The temp then began to drop so it was time to burn stuff for warmth in Darren bucket bbq, everything went on that fire plastic, sausage rolls some guys fence was hacked up for fire wood and then pyro aka topcat bought the blowtorch out :mil56:so the fire was lit pretty quickly.
After the chillout sesh and a few brews everyone peeled off for some kip for the early start on sun morning.
5.50am sunday i climbed from my pit to be met with johlads catchphrase " morning campers ". On returning from the showers to find everyone still in the pits i though fook it im up so get everyone up so the peaceful campsite was rudley awoken by [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXLqMB6vBic"]YouTube- The Trashman - The surfin bird[/nomedia], once everyone was ****, showered, shaved and fed we hit the roads for the final leg.

I'll finish this tomorrow time to chill now.

Which landy group are you with mate ? BADLRC ?

Haven't done any Derbyshire laning for ages. Took shine off last time I went when a stroppy farmer with round hay bale on tractor front loader decided to play chicken...

Bit late in the day for joining you Derbyshire laning peeps this weekend, but I'd be interested in joining future runs if thats ok:).

Peak and Potteries 4x4 club - Peak & Potteries 4x4

Sorry i didn't get back to you sooner - been rather busy.

Hope everyone else had a good trip out - nice to briefly bump into you all :) - we only broke 3 landies this outing

The roads were quiet as we set off on the final leg sunday morning across goyt valley most of the lanes were gravel / tarmac with a couple of nice scrathy ones in between one lane in particular will be good if we get some rain as its very rutted and runs through a farming field.
We also found a nice lane just off the cat and fiddle which proved fatal for one of Topcats bushes so after a short stop off to repair that using Darrens poly isolater off his highlift we set off again.
Then is was Johns turn to have problems  so we pulled up to remove his wheel so that the guys could empty the build up of rock chippings and gravel from his brake disk.
The one thing that is worrying though is that every time kingy looked at someones truck moments later it had problems . :D.
With the final lane done the last bit of road ran us done into a nice splash off in tissington ford which made a perfect end to the run and its a great spot to get some fantastic photos, cheers little will sorry if you got a little damp matey but i cant wait to see the pics.

Anyway on the whole it was yet again another fantastic Landyzone on tour moment with everyone having a great time and a damm good laugh.
Look forward to seeing everyone again soon.:D
