Pdc / parking sensors

Hi

Just bought a 2003 v8 vogue and it has one broken parking sensor in the rear bumber. I have had it diagnosed at an independant garage and confirmed that it's just a broken sensor.

My question is can you by pass the broken sensor in anyway or do you need to replace it with a new one?

Turn the system off and learn to park.

Can't bypass

Just fit a new one

5 second job and around £20

I could bet that it's not a sensor but actually a damaged cable ! Common issue is that the cables get damaged on the metal bumper bar
This will cause the same fault as a faulty sensor would
