Hi All

Quick question - I've been laning (with a second defender) a few times mid week and we have never come across someone heading the other way.

We've done The Wayfarer and nearby lanes and I didn't see many places to pass an oncoming vehicle.

Whats the "rules" around this? Do you get out and discuss with the on-comers, or just wait until someone reverses out the way?!

Also, can you drive slightly off track to get round someone in this situation or do you keep going backwards till you find somewhere wide enough?

Basically I'd like to go a few weekends and dont want to mess up if we come across one of you guys :)

Cheers

No set etiquette, just try to be aware how far from a safe area you are and back up .. or try to force the others to back up .. ;)

Only go around people if it isn't going to damage fragile areas.

Sooo....

I'm arm wrestling, whilst exposing myself and then charging at them?!

Sounds good.

Thanks, Paul, for the answers. Seems common sense is the way forward. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't braking any rules/laning etiquette!

And if you meet lady drivers, it only good manners to get out of their way :D:D

I dont know whether you lot are suggesting I would beat you at arm wrestling, be capable of running you off the road or would just take so long to reverse out of your way that you might at well go home :p:p:p:D:D:D

All of these would be true, so be warned :fencing::fencing::fighting::fighting:

To be fair I would reverse back for any woman ,....................
As they most of them can't reverse !:D:D

Did you never see that old film, cant remember its name. First thing they did was chuck the rear view mirror away. Who cares whats behind, just put your foot down, folks will get out of your way.

I liked this concept so much I have lived by it ever since :D:D:D:D:D

Might be a few movies like that, but the one I remember is The Gumball Rally. Raoul Julia's character was driving a Ferrari Daytona..

"First rule of Italian driving...What'sa behinda me is not important" ;)

Diff.
