Hi All I have just noticed a small rusty hole just above the passenger cill rear door post.
Is this an easy weld fix or would you guess the cills will need replacing too. Its just gone through an MOT with no advisory so I guess it got missed or its not an MOT point.

As for the door post can you get a replacement part as I cant seem to find one.

Thanks in advance
Stephen

Yrm or easy on panels both do repair sections. I'd say the sills are shot. Remove the plastic trim below the doors and take a hammer to it. If it's solid inject lots of Waxyoyl in the holes and put the trim back on. Might last a little longer.

Brill thanks Brett I have spent ages googling but could not find a dedicated company who do the parts. I will photograph it and send it them.
The thought crossed my mind if the rust worm has eaten this I guess its spread. I have some AC150 which stops rust so I may give that a spray and gear up for welding in spring. Out of interest how does the plastic trim come off are they push on rivets?

Little plastic bungs with a pin in the middle, if you use a small punch you can knock the pin into the sill and just pull the cover off, but you will need new bungs to refit the plastic cover cos you lose the pin unless it just falls out the rust hole in the sill of course :).
