pas fluid

hi i have a 2001 discovery td5 auto . started it up this morning on driving it power steering pump noisy. check fluid level . reservoir nearly empty. looked underneath no clues .no apparent sign of fluid on gravel drive wher ie i park. i need to get pas fluid. handbook states use texaco cold climate pas fluid 14315.main dealers not open as sunday. i have been to local parts shop .no idea, mdc .no idea .halfords dont list it try main dealer. spoke to a mate who is a mechanic ,he said have a look at the colour of the fluid in the reservoir.if its red use red fluid if its green use green fluid to top it up. checked my fluid its amber same colour as new engine oil????????. anyone got any ideas?

as far as i know as systems use power steering fluid ( ATF ) , hope this helps

i thought that it was just atf that was used but this is usually red! you must have a leak in your system as the pas should not use fluid.

You could use this ACE/Power steering fluid. You know you are getting the right oil then.
