Hi everyone

Need to change the PAS belt on my 110 camper tomorrow. Is it a fairly simple job to do? Its a 2.5 diesel na. Got the belt ready, I would have thought it would be fairly easy to get done- weather permitting!
Oh, also going to put the 110 in for an MOT next week, does anyone know whether you can fail your MOT for an oil leak, or will it just be listed as an advisory?

Thanks everyone!

Hello. I have n/a 2.5 too but no power steering standard military yes ex mod but in your case. The belt renewal is easy. Treat it as same as alternator There is three bolts holding the pump simply slacken it and move the pump nearer to the engine and swop the belt but u might have to remove the alternator belt first to do it Leak from engine not mot failure. If leak from steering box yes. For clues and pics on belt swop look at Buster's repair ok

Yeah remember not to over tighten the belt tension etc or it will break the bearings on water pump. Pas pump etc etc. one inch movement is apple enough good luck

Depends where your oil leak is. If it's on the PS pump or steering box I believe that it can be failed on it.

Otherwise, there should be no problems!

Got it done today, was pretty easy, took about half an hour.
TBH I cannot see where the oil leak is coming from (there are a few!) but it doesn't look like the steering box or PAS are leaking.
Thanks for the tips
