Hi all,,,, I have a question for those in the no? I have a 1985 2.5 na diesel engine in my 110, and want to fit PAS to it, will the PAS set up from a 90/110 200 tid system, be swap over and fit my 1985 110 na any help would be nice many thanks

You'll have to find a way to mount the PAS pump, and get it driven. I'm quite sure that it's not a simple thing to do. Not sure if you'd want to drive it from the existing belt, or swap the crank pulley for one which supports two belts (not sure if the 200tdi one will fit). It'll involve a fair bit of fabrication to mount the pump properly anyway. The other bits are probably simple. The PAS steering box is a direct replacement, and then you just need to mount the reservoir somewhere.

Hi thanks for the reply, lost me a bit there ? understand the steering ok
should just be the 4 bolt type... the pump I was thinking of bolting at the side of the block N/S by some sort of bracket? and just put a bigger belt on?
Or leave it as it is and end up with arms like pop-pie lol

Hi, I've just joined and saw your query. I have a 1986 110 2.5N/A and fitted power steering last year. It is straight forward if you get the right bits but a nightmare if you don't. It's always the little things that cause the hassle. By far the easiest way is to find a unmolested 2.5N/A with PAS and make sure you get ALL the bits incl all the nuts & bolts. If this is not possible the main parts are:
1 PAS Steering box; 2 PAS Pump; 3 PAS Crank Pulley; 4 2.5N/A PAS pump mounting bracket (replaces alternator bracket) 5; Reservoir; 6 High pressure pipe (pump to box); 7 Return pipe (box to res); 8 Feed pipe (res to pump); 9 Drive belt; 10 Mounting brkt for Res.
There are a number of pit falls due to the various makes and types of bits used. Biggest problem is likely to be getting the right high pressure pipe, also there are 3 different lengths of belt. Best of luck.:) PS if you know anyone with special Tool LRT-12-029 (18 1457) for changing the injector pump I'm looking for 1.

I think all of the XMOD vehicles have the 3 groove crank pulley, both of mine came standard with it. Does anyone elses XMOD have the 3 groove? I thought I was going to have to buy a different crank pulley, new was like 800 quid (for everything, pulley, damper, crank etc)

Hi I also have a 1986 XMOD with no PAS. Just fitted a 200 tdi with all the connections so all I have to do really is fit a PAS box but don't know what box to get. I see 3, 4, and 6 bolt boxes. Which do I use? Anyone have a used cheap one to sell and willing to ship it to me in NEW YORK USA?
