Just fitted a new window regulator on a P38 for a guy. he bought ****part.
Just a warning to others, the internal diameter of the bearing for the motor gear shaft is too small. Luckily I was able to pop the bearing out of the old regulator and use that.
Forgot to add, one of the mounting holes didn't line up and had to be re-drilled.

How do they get away with selling these "replacement" parts of they don't even fit ?!

If it didn't fit, why not send it back and seek a refund, there are a variety of makers and prices, so its a buyers market. Plus we have to remember some of the parts and design of many LR products was ****e in the first place.

Simple, the bloke drove 200Km return to have the new part fitted plus some diagnostics, you don't find out the part is not correct untill you have the door in bits, it's easier to fix the problem than put it all back together non functional, send back the part and argue about it, then drive another 200Km to have the part fitted. I didn't source the new part.

I had to do the same thing with my ****part window regulator - switch the bearings over. My mechanic told me off - said it'l last 6 months if i'm lucky :(

So guys, has anyone told them their parts aren't up to scratch and what has the response been?

TBH, i just got on with it as once i'd switched the bearing, it fitted ok. Should really have made a comment to them i guess.
My ****part rad has been fine after 18 months.
