ok this could be a simple one for someone, as many of you know my speedo don't work.
ordered a set of clocks from fleabay listed as 300tdi blablabla

anyway the part number question the ones in the car are AMR 4749 and have a small blue connector at the bottom, the one that's turned up is AMR 4750 and don't have the little blue connector port.

anyone know the difference before i plug them in and kill something

(can get pics if needed just need to know if im good to plug in and what im not going to be getting lol)

The blue connector is for ABS, i presume that the one which doesnt have it has no warning in it
thanks there is a ABS light placement on there but i'll give it a shot see what happens if thats all its for. just to confuse matters though i been searching for answers for hours and only thing i have found out is my one being replaced AMR 4750 is apparently for the NON-ABS model. and thats the one that has the place for the blue plug. (also has a placement for ABS light and bulb behind it but i've never seen it on). will report back soon on how it go's, or dont go lol

update, testing the clocks turned out to be a bad plan. the ABS light was on constant and i had no SRS light with ignition. went for a quick spin (about half mile) speedo done nothing, temp gauge didnt work and fuel gauge didnt work. rev clock and illuminations did. however the rev clock stopped working and now i've put the old clocks back in i have no rev clock or battery light. illuminations work and SRS warning light is the only light that comes on with ignition!

HELP!!!

Edit: im a tool and fuse 14 had blown again, i really should take the water out of the back lights. changed the speedo part of the clocks from the new to the old but need to re-test now that i've put the fuse back lmao. update coming soon guys but im not holding up much hope for the speedo :( anyone with info on the parts in the transfer box i'll be interested in hearing from you haha

AMR4749 is for RHD TDi less airbag, AMR4750 is for RHD TDi with drivers air bag is the difference stated in the parts book. Both are for the TA vin onwards vehicles.
explains the no srs light, they didnt work either way so i removed just the speedo from the AMR4749 and fitted it into my AMR4750 speedo still not working but rest of the clocks are so time to get back into the wires, transducer and anything else i can find to try get it working again. although at this point im thinking its going to be the transfer box internals :(

FINAL UPDATE: I dont remember who it was but on anther post someone told me how to check the transducer by hand with the ignition on (not the engine). so today i got under the car with my "old" transducer that came out in 2 bits, i cleaned it up and kept it. put that on the connector got the mrs in the driver seat and turned it the speedo twitched. then i took out the "new" transducer that i had fitted at the start of my disco fights and done the same, no life at the speedo. put the old one back in and all seems to be working.

so looks like the original problem was wires or clock, i fitted a transducer (that didnt work even though it was new) and the problem stayed.
then i replaced all the wiring. no fix there. changed the speedo itself, still no speedo.
then i put the old transducer back in and all is good.

so a BIG thank you too whoever it was that said about the transducer test, and a thank you to the rest of you that all helped with my discotastic fun lol.

lol you are correct a clock tells the time but to the simpleton a speedo is a speed clock haha, anyway i dont have spares now i took it to bits to use the parts for another project. i do however have a new issue should any of you have a thought on it.

im blowing the reverse light/binnacle power (see i can use the rite words when i want lol) fuse 14 its a 10amp. i blew a reverse light figured it was that, changed it and shortly later blew it again while in reverse so i put it do bad wire/water in the light. since then i've dried it all and checked the wires and to mix things up a little i've blown 3 more fuses since and one was while driving. the other 2 were seconds after i pulled off after changing them.
