For my 1996 Defender 90 CSW
Can someone tell me the part number for the 'Panel Grille Top' or 'Slam Panel', please?

I have a parts number catalogue, which says MTC7170, but it only goes up to 1994 so possibly isn't correct.
I know members on LZ can answer these questions very quickly, but you do narf feel an idiot having to ask. At least I do
Does anyone know where I can buy or download a more up to date version?

Cheers, James. That part is not coming up on LRDirect or Paddocks. Could be they don't stock it though!
Even though you say 'try' I'm betting it's the right one :)

Britcar! Don't often look on there to be honest. I'm going to try and get mine galvanised, but if there's not enough left when it comes back from the shot blasters I'll have to be ordering a new one! Cheers, gents.

Ok, I've googled that and made big steps forward.
Interestingly, my VIN shows VA. So, even though it was registered in December 1996 (TA), it was issued with a VA (1997) in the VIN number.
As KA = a 1993 vehicle, I presume there were no major changes after that point, but up to when?

when td5 came out, 300tdi uses the one type of slam panel

Very nice. I've used YRM a lot, but haven't seen them. While on the site looking at the slam panel I noticed the aluminium radiator cradle too. Their galv slam panel is cheaper than the Britcar painted one. It's tempting, but I want the slam panel, radiator cradle and rear tub seat belt to chassis brackets galvanising. I'm estimating it's going to cost me about £60 to have the 3 parts blasted and galved. Whereas I'd be paying £160 for the slam panel and rad cradle from YRM and I'd still need the seat belt brackets doing. I'm just thinking out loud here.
Great link though mate, thanks for posting it. YRM are adding new gear all the time.

Yea I just compared it with the Britpart one and the price seemed pretty reasonable. However, they don't include VAT on YRM website which can fool you into thinking something's a better deal than it looks. I know I always get reeled in!
Also just seen they do the seat belt to chassis brackets galved for a tenner (plus VAT + delivery). Don't know how much of your £60 estimate was on them, but might be worth a look?

Can't find them on YRM. I can't see them being the ones I have as they are hard to get and were about £90 each last year.

Any links to YRM or Ebay would be appreciated. :)

This type of seatbelt mount Mr Al203?
