West wing I think
Hi men,
2003 r rvr p38 p99y. The parking sensors on my machine work perfectly SOME of the time. At times I get a continuous tone all the time reverse is selected. Other times I get random compositions. I thought I'd upset it by fitting a bumper plate to my tow bar, but the above symptons still apply. Your customary waving of the landyzone magic wand would be appreciated. Regards all. P.S:eek:

Sorry, Chabrolly. I'm guessing you're refering to the bumper guard. I had the problem before and after its fitting. I don't quite follow your post. If you can help, I'd appreciate you expanding. Thanks and regards. P.S

This may seem a silly question, but have you checked the sensors themselves? My father in law had the same problem with one of his lorries, it turned out that some w****r had put a layer of sellotape over the sensors confusing them.

Thanks splat & dopey.
I'm unfamiliar with the principles of these things. I was guessing that they were all part of the sheeps' entrails that are range rover electrics. Am I correct in gleening that this isn't the case and that the whole gubbins can be replaced independant of the core electrics? If that's the case I'll research replacing the whole works as you suggest. The sensors I'd thought about. I thought I'd cracked it when I cleaned the self coloured black polish off that a previous person had applied. I don't feel that I need them but as they're fitted to my model I want to keep it as is. Best regards P.S

I'm next to useless with leccy stuff, i don't know if the Maplin stuff is the same as Landy sensors or not, but it just seems like its the easy way to go about it, after all i don't think Land rover dealers will sell you just the 1 sensor, and if they did, is it worth the hassle of tracking the fault down (time and ££) when you can just change the whole thing for £30? its a no brainier really

Righty o. They're giving these things away with cornflakes as you suggest. It just goes to show how conditioned it's possible to be. I have an auto trigger that flashes "big spend" every time something happens. I've just reset my BIOS and I'll hit ebay next. Thanks, men. regards. P.S:)
