Parking Aid

Can any one offer any suggestions on my problem please : TD5 Facelift ES,2004.
parking sensors work fine most of the time but now and again produce a continuous sound when nothing is near , occassional fault but annoying.

Can Original equipment be disconnected and after market unit fitted with no adverse affect ?

Couldnt say for sure but i dont see why you couldnt pull the fuse out, and fit an aftermarket PDS, i fitted one to my old 3 series beemer i think i got it online from a company called parkitright or something for about £70, there are cheaper ones but mine was wireless (less hassle installing) and has an LCD monitor with it.

dixon bate do some nice heavy duty parking aids

I fitted an after market one on the Disco. £15 on fleabey, wireless, four sensors on the back and two on the front, LED display and aural tones. Works a treat.
