you can prolly get replacement same colour panels easier than messing around with the ones you dislike, then concentrate your efforts on the ones that cant be removed!

Ok, in context then, 4" lift, snorkel, winch, Simexes, roll cage .... and a wee bit of hammerite to make it all look nice.

I did Hammerite bits of my ser 1 and they look OK!

after looking at other pictures does the 2000 vogue not have unpainted bumpers as standard, somone has painted the grill and trims below the lights, all with the same dull finish.

The problem will be that they were originally not painted, and finished with the normal dimpled plastic.

You need lots of coats of high bulid primer to get the bumper perfect before you apply the base coat, then laquer.

They have just not bee painted very good.

I have seen badly painted bumpers and they do look very nasty and spoil the car. I personally think original plastic bumper look better on the P38 rather than color coded anyway.

ill live with them just now, who knows what will be the best solution, i dont mind the standard grey plastic so i dont know if i should get the entire bumper stripped and painted from scratch (someday lol)

You will not need to get them stripped, just sanded, primer, sanded, primer, etc, etc, until they are ready for colour.

The above does assume they do not react to the new paint, which can happen and be a nightmare.

Or just find some non painted bumpers and replace.

Like you say, no rush.
